Fork In The Road at the Capital City Black Film Festival, Austin Texas
Dubuque, IA August 20, 2016 — We are pleased to announce that Adrian Tyus’ film “Fork In The Road”, will debut Friday, August 26, 2016 in Austin, Texas at the Capital City Black Film Festival. CCBFF 2016 will be held at the Austin Convention Center located at 500 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78701.
Adrian Tyus is a new up & coming filmmaker/screenwriter living in Shanghai, China to complete his studies. A Native of Saginaw Michigan, Adrian has traveled the world in search of the “perfect” filming location. This debut film will highlight much of Adrian’s creativity and hard work.

Adrian Tyus was born & raised in Saginaw Michigan, attended Columbia College in Chicago and completed his studies at Tongji University in Shanghai, China. Adrian has other creative projects in the works and plans to debut more films in the near future.

Bio: Adrian Tyus
Adrian Deonte’ Tyus born January 1, 1990 in Saginaw, MI, has been described by his mother as “a fast learner” He began his career in the entertainment industry at the age of 13 when he entered his first drama competition. That year he won 1st place in drama for the state of Michigan and eventually went on to take national titles the next year. In high school, Adrian was the lead in three children productions, "Here Comes the Brides”, "The Toys Take over Christmas”, "Dorothy meets Alice”. By the time Adrian reached his junior year he had entered a number of local speech competitions and pageants as well as fashion shows in the Detroit area. Competing in the national E.L.K.S Oratorical Competitions in 2007, eventually lead Adrian to local, state and regional titles.
In 2008 Adrian enrolled into the Art institute of Dallas where his focus was filmmaking and video production. Committed to writing for the screen and cinematography, while also having an adept passion for acting, he began using his gifts to make a transition from the stage, to the camera lenses. Acting in several short films and entering numerous film festivals in Texas, and the southwest region, within the year Adrian had achieved awards such as
Best dialogue and screenplay for “Mistaken Identity”,
A project he is responsible for writing and producing.
Best acting for “Second Unit”,
“Hurt Peelings” took forth place in the Dallas 24hour film race all in 2009.
Along with several other freelance projects. Later that year Adrian and a close friend produced their first documentary.
Embarking on directorial heights with handwork and plenty of motivation, Adrian has began setting goals and reaching them through writing, producing, direction and performance. He is currently enrolled in the Film School at Columbia College in Chicago,IL.
